Coma-bloom was a type of flowering plant with deleterious properties. Shortly after the First Battle of Geonosis[1] in 22 BBY,[2] Jedi Knight Iskat Akaris was shocked to discover coma-bloom and other deleterious plants growing innocently alongside plants with beneficial properties in the flower beds of a small walled garden in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant that was accessible from the Jedi Archives. She recognized coma-bloom and the other plants and remembered their names from readings that had been assigned to her by her Jedi Master, Sember Vey.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, coma-bloom appeared in Delilah S. Dawson's 2023 novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade.[1] The plant originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in James Luceno's 2012 novel Darth Plagueis.[3]
