Codoran was a precious metal used to construct jewelry,[2] such as a codoran ring.[3] In 19 ABY,[4] Moff Bemos, a member of the Imperial Remnant's Council of Moffs, wore a large codoran ring on his finger while attending a meeting with the Moff council and Imperial Supreme Commander Gilad Pellaeon on the[3] Outer Rim Territories[5] Imperial capital planet Bastion.[3]
Behind the scenes
Codoran first appeared in the 1997 novel Specter of the Past, the first volume of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Hand of Thrawn Duology.[3] Codoran later appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[6] The game misspelled the substance as "codoan."[1]

In the game, codoran was a type of resource that could be used by crafters to create items. Codoran was one of the many types of copper that could be obtained by harvesting the soil of the game's worlds. The type of copper collected during harvesting was determined randomly, and all varieties of coppers were interchangeable and had similar characteristics. Like other resources in the game, codoran was only represented visually as a generic crate of resources.[1]
