Cloudrippers were a type of high-soaring avian found on the ocean moon Kef Bir.[1] Alongside wanderwings, they were popular prey for Company 77,[2] a group of human First Order deserters who used their custom energy bows without power augmentation to hunt the birds. When harvesting their kills, members of the company were efficient and gathered not only meat but also other materials.[1]

Cloudrippers were first mentioned in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
