A cloud flute was a type of flute.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] the Hutt Dahara Devirsivik Norri and her guards set up a camp on the planet Aricho that had various forms of entertainment, including an individual playing a cloud flute. At one point, when Norri took up her position on a raised dais, the cloud flute player began a melody and two dancers began performing as well. Soon after, a meal was served during Norri's meeting with her brother Churo, the scientist Glenna Kip, and Aricho's president, Orenna Sala. Although the others ate in silence, Norri laughed at the dancers and cloud flute player, praised them, and requested new tunes. However, once Norri was ready to begin discussing the harvesting of glaka root, she sent the entertainers away. Later, as Norri's servants packed up the camp, the Hutt sat on her throne with a bored expression as the cloud flute player performed nearby.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: A Valiant Vow takes place nearly two years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
