The Cloud City Grand Prix was a significant[1] regional[2] race that shared its name with Cloud City at the gas giant Bespin. The pilot Bo Keevil once flew his racer, the Yellow Ace, in an edition of the Cloud City Grand Prix.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Cloud City Grand Prix was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Knights of Fate.[2] a 2018[3] sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games's Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game.[2] In Star Wars Legends, the race was first mentioned in the article "This Is Podracing: Sports in the Star Wars Galaxy, Part 1," which was authored by Tim Veekhoven and Sander de Lange and published on StarWars.com on March 26, 2014.[4] It first appeared in The Jewel of Yavin, an adventure module for Fantasy Flight Games's Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game[5] that was released on March 31, 2014.[6]
