Chrysalis

Chrysalis was a ritual of the Sinsarans from the Outer Rim planet Sinsara. Those who underwent the ordeal, emerged with superior fighting skills and an altered their visual appearance, making them seem as if they were from a different species. The ritual was highly dangerous, with the vast majority of the few that underwent it dying. The Chrysalis was seen as a rite of passage by the Sinsarans. When asked by Qui-Gon Jinn about ways that individuals could change their appearance or if she could identify the species of his assassin Corlis Rath, Jedi librarian Jocasta Nu suspected that he was a Sinsaran who had undergone the Chrysalis.^[1]
