Choobies was a slang term for testicles.[1] It was also used as a metaphor for courage and confidence: After downing a glass of Port in a Storm, Greer Sonnel proudly asked, "How's that for choobies?"[2]
The phrase "pain in the choobies" referred to someone that is very annoying.[3]

The word "choobies" is akin to the vulgar real-world term "balls," which in a literal sense refers to testicles, but is also used as a rude term for bravery and self-assurance.[4]
