The chiroptix was a creature from Dathomir with a keen sense of hearing. This creature gave its name to technique used by the Nightsisters known as "Ears of the Chiroptix."
Behind the scenes
In his endnotes for the Book of Sith, Daniel Wallace said he intended the chiroptix to be a bat-like creature, hence modifying the scientific classification for bats (Order: Chiroptera).[1]
