Chidinka were a type of reed plant which grew on the planet Kirdo III. The Kitonaks, a sentient species native to Kirdo III, hollowed out the reeds of chidinka plants to make chidinkalu, a type of musical instrument. Droopy McCool, a Kitonak musician in the Max Rebo Band, played a chidinkalu made from chidinka reed.
