Char rat were a type of rat.[1] Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[2] Tasu Leech—a member of the bounty hunter T'onga's crew—called the bounty hunter Dengar a "double-crossing char rat" after the latter left the crew on the flagship of[1] the criminal syndicate[3] Crimson Dawn after he had been hired to help them infiltrate the ship.[1]

Char rat were mentioned in the twenty-fourth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. The issue was written by Ethan Sacks and published by Marvel Comics[1] on June 15, 2022.[4]
