- "Jaquira fruit was my favorite as a youngling. There was a stall near the Chandrilan temple that had them, and I used to sneak out at night just to buy them."
- ―Conithr, to Ruu
The Chandrilan temple was a Jedi temple of the Jedi Order that was located on[1] the Core Worlds planet[2] Chandrila during the High Republic Era.[1] By 230 BBY,[3] the Jedi youngling Conithr was stationed at the Chandrilan temple and often snuck out of the temple at night to buy jaquira fruit from a stall located near the temple.[1]
At some point before her death[1] between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[4] Conithr—by then a Jedi Master at the Jedi temple on the Core Worlds planet Corellia—tried to get her Padawan, the Lucem boy Ruu, to eat sour foods including a jaquira fruit. When Ruu groaned, Conithr told him about how as a youngling she had snuck out of the temple to buy the fruit.[1] In 229 BBY,[4] sometime after Conithr's passing, Ruu recalled the conversation where she had mentioned the Chandrilan temple after seeing the Chadra-Fan female Hamatan roll out a blob of jaquira-fruit sugar to make candy.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Chandrilan temple was mentioned in flashbacks in "Rogue Element," a short story written by Alyssa Wong[1] that was published in the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition[5] of the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]

- ↑ "Rogue Element" establishes that Conithr became the Jedi Master of Ruu on Corellia prior to the Jedi Order's recall to Coruscant, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 230 BBY. Therefore, she must have been stationed at the Chandrilan temple as a Jedi youngling by that year.
- ↑ 4.0 4.1 The events of "Rogue Element" take place one year after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 230 BBY. The story establishes Conithr died between the destruction of Starlight Beacon and the story's events, therefore meaning she passed away between those two years.
