A Chain Sickle was a type of melee weapon used by the Dathomiri Nightsisters and Nightbrothers of the planet Dathomir.
Description
A deadly two-handed weapon, the Chain Sickle consisted of a razor-sharp, scythe-shaped blade attached to a cylindrical handle by a long, flexible cord. A second hand grip was positioned approximately one-third of the way between the primary handle and the blade. The cord between the second handle and the blade was covered in small, sharp spikes.[1][3]
History

During her Clone Wars, the Nightsister Asajj Ventress journeyed to the Nightbrother village on Dathomir to take part in the Selection to choose a champion from among the Nightbrothers. In the second of three trials, Ventress wielded a Chain Sickle against four Nightbrothers.[1]
Later, while investigating the origin of Savage Opress, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker traveled to Dathomir. Upon landing their shuttle at the Nightbrothers' village, the Jedi disembarked and were surrounded by a group of Nightbrothers soon after entering the village. One of the Nightbrothers who attacked Kenobi and Skywalker brandished a Chain Sickle.[2]
