Centrifugal debris extractor

The centrifugal debris extractor was a component of a starfighter that acted to prevent debris from entering the engine compartment. A high RPM deflection cone and particle scoops combined to prevent debris impacting the performance of the fighter, especially during atmospheric flight. The centrifugal debris extractor was an integral part of Incom Corporation's T-65 X-wing starfighter.^[1]
