Cedo Partu was a pioneer and early settler of Mos Eisley,[1] a town[2] on the planet Tatooine.[3] When Mos Eisley was a boomtown, Partu, a town leader, built a blockhouse that would serve as a fortification against Tusken Raiders,[2] a sentient species indigenous to Tatooine.[4] Generations later, the blockhouse would become Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina.[1] Sariss, a Dark Jedi who went by the name[5] Prophetess, once claimed that one of the cantina's bartenders,[1] the Human male[3] Wuher, was Partu's reincarnated soul.[1]
Behind the scenes
The name "Cedo Partu" first appeared in 1989's Mos Eisley Cantina Adventure Set to identify the male bartender in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina.[6] In later sources, however, the bartender was instead identified as "Wuher."[3] In December 2006,[7] Pablo Hidalgo retroactively identified them as separate characters in "Refresher Reading," an article in issue 91 of the Star Wars Insider magazine.[2]
