Cassander – originally known as Cassander's Star – was the chief planet of the Cassandran sectors. It was the sector capital of Cassander sector under the New Order, and it was on the Braxant Run.

During the expansion to the New Territories by the Galactic Republic, the planet was an unsuccessful trading rival to Ord Mantell.[2]

This planet became the central body of the Cassandran Worlds before the Galactic Empire took it over. It was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong during the first stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
