Case file 127456

Case file 127456 was part of the Galactic Republic's official records and was related to the disappearance of Jedi Master Sifo-Dias. It had been sealed by the Office of the Chancellor, so when Grand Master Yoda was looking for information on Sifo-Dias after his lightsaber was found on the Oba Diah moon, Yoda went to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to ask about the file. Palpatine claimed that the records had been sealed during the tenure of his predecessor, Finis Valorum.[1]

Case file 127456, specifically translated, says:

"Jedi master Sifo-Dias died while trying to negotiate a peace between tribes on Felucia. He was aboard Jedi shuttle T-6 77519 when it crashed. Much of the information surrounding his death remains confidential under the Office of the Chancellor."
