- "Uh, guys, Chopper says Cargo Bay 17 is a restricted area."
- ―Sabine Wren
Cargo Bay 17 was a cargo bay on the Orca-class freighter, Freighter 2716. It contained prisoners captured by the Empire to help build the first Death Star.[2]
History
- "Here it is. Cargo Bay 17."
- ―Sabine Wren
In 1 BBY,[1] Freighter 2716 was boarded by Saw Gerrera, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Chopper. Accessing the ship's computer, they found that Cargo Bay 17 was a restricted area and decided to check it out. When they made it inside, they found it contained prisoners being transported to help construct the first Death Star, all of whom were reactor mechanics or power specialists of some kind. After freeing the prisoners, the rebels rigged a massive Kyber crystal to explode, which it did, promptly destroying Cargo Bay 17, along with the rest of Freighter 2716.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The trivia guide for Star Wars Rebels: Heroes of Mandalore states that Bo-Katan Kryze was redesigned to advance the character's age by "18 years or so". As she was last seen was in "The Lawless," which was dated to 19 BBY by Star Wars: Galactic Atlas, it can be assumed that the events of Heroes of Mandalore take place in approximately 1 BBY. As "In the Name of the Rebellion" takes place shortly after Heroes of Mandalore, it can be assumed its events, which include the destruction of Cargo Bay 17, around 1 BBY.
