Caranaks were aquatic fowls native to Endor. They were notoriously difficult to domesticate.[1] Luke Skywalker described the group that he was leading into the Maw blackhole cluster as "caranaks in a row," with his Jade Shadow yacht at the head of nearly a dozen Sith Tribe frigates, flying under the protection of the Rockhound asteroid tug.[2]
