- "When the Tendor Virus struck the entire Caldoni system and my vaccine cured millions, what did I receive in return? Not enough."
- ―Jenna Zan Arbor
The Caldoni system was located in the Core Worlds.[1] At some point by 43 BBY,[3] an outbreak of the lethal[4] Tendor Virus took place throughout the entire system, affecting millions of people. Eventually,[2] the human[5] scientist Jenna Zan Arbor developed a vaccine that cured the Caldoni system's population.[2] In 43 BBY,[3] while conversing with the captured Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn, Zan Arbor recalled the outbreak in the Caldoni system, claiming that she did not receive a sufficient reward for her accomplishments at the time.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Caldoni system was first mentioned in The Evil Experiment, Jude Watson's 2001 twelfth installment of the Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice young-reader novel series.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed it in grid square M-12.[1]
