A cairoka was a type of creature capable of flight and found on the planet Alderaan. They had wings as white as snow.[1] By 0 BBY,[2] the Alderaanian youngling Rel watched cairoka fly over some trees on Alderaan.[1]

Behind the scenes

Cairoka appeared in the new Star Wars canon in "The Song of Winter's Heart," a short story written by Cavan Scott and George Mann in the 2021 Life Day Treasury anthology.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, cairokas appeared in the 1994 novel The Courtship of Princess Leia, written by Dave Wolverton.[3]
