"Envoy Loogg spoke today over the Caarite holonet. All seems to be going well. There is prosperity at home, and the alliances he had sought to forge are stronger than ever. As the galaxy divides itself, it is those who stay out of the conflict who will be strongest when the smoke clears."
―Personal log of Celis Bol[1]

The Caarite holonet was a communications network.[1] Around 21 BBY,[2] the Caarite[3] Thurm Loogg,[1] the envoy of the Metatheran Cartel trade alliance to the Cularin system,[3] made a speech over the Caarite holonet in which he spoke of how the Cartel was prospering by not involving itself in the Clone Wars,[1] a tumultuous conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[4] Loogg's speech on the Caarite holonet was listened to by the Metatheran Cartel technician Celis Bol.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Caarite holonet was mentioned in Caaried Away, a roleplaying adventure by Morrie Mullins released in March 2003. The adventure formed part of the Metatheran Caution trilogy of the Living Force campaign, a supplement to Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[1]

  2. The Living Force Campaign Guide states that the Living Force campaign is set one year after the Invasion of Naboo, an event that is dated to 32 BBY by The New Essential Chronology. As the Living Force adventure Philology moved the campaign forward ten years to the time of the Clone Wars, the events depicted in Caaried Away can therefore be dated to circa 21 BBY.
