The CLL-series were a line of binary loadlifters that were so limited in intelligence that they barely qualified as droids. The series generally handled the most mundane loading jobs, with more complex tasks requiring far more intelligent models of labor droid.[1] Cybot Galactica's CLL-M2 binary loadlifter was one of the models in the series, and although it was only introduced shortly before the Separatist Crisis, it was little changed from others of its ilk stretching back to the droid equivalent of prehistoric times.[2]
Behind the scenes
The CLL-series first appeared in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[3] In the new Star Wars canon the series was identified in the 2015 magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 20.[1]
