Byblos Drive Yards was a company that produced the G-1A starfighter. The company designed the starfighter as an all-purpose system patrol craft and left ample room for upgrades and additions to the vessel's stock systems. Byblos envisioned producing several aftermarket weapon and sensor packages for the G-1A, but only a few were ever built, as the vehicle never gained the popularity or sales numbers that were expected, causing the company to drastically scaled back production.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the new Star Wars canon, Byblos Drive Yards was first mentioned in the 2017 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook No Disintegrations.[2] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was created by Bill Smith for the 1993 reference book The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.[3]
