Container ship

A container ship was a massive commercial transport vessel. Although slow and expensive, they were considered to be the most efficient means of cargo transport when dealing with large loads.

Container ships were used by the Old Republic shipping fleet; when Industrial Automaton made the P2-series astromech droid available exclusively to the merchant fleet on a trial basis, the P2 units proved to be capable maintenance units aboard the vessels.^[1]

The Kuat Drive Yards Super Transport XI was a container ship.
