A brooch,[2] or broach was a piece of jewellery.[1] In 34 ABY,[3] a human passenger of the star cruiser Halcyon had a broach. After the crew of the pirate Crimson Jack took over the Halcyon in an attempt to claim a bounty on a Resistance spy, one of his pirates took the broach from the human. The human protested, and informed the pirate it was a family heirloom, to which the pirate responded that it still would be a family heirloom, just in their family.[1]
