Broadside was a clone trooper pilot who served in Shadow Squadron, a Galactic Republic starfighter squadron under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars, as Shadow Three. Biography
Battle of Teth
Broadside was a male clone trooper who served as a member of the 501st Legion[2] and the Shadow Squadron starfighter unit.[3] While Jedi General Anakin Skywalker's forces prepared for the Battle of Teth[4] in 22 BBY,[5] Broadside walked alongside Matchstick on board Skywalker's Acclamator-class assault ship.[4]
Attack on the Malevolence
Broadside defends Kamino from Separatist attack
During the Malevolence Campaign, Broadside and Shadow Squadron were briefed by Admiral Wullf Yularen and Jedi General Anakin Skywalker aboard the Resolute. There, Skywalker informed Broadside and their fellow pilots that their mission was to attack the Malevolence by targeting its bridge and take out the commander, General Grievous. Following the briefing, Broadside and Matchstick assured Jedi General Plo Koon that their squadron would be prepared for their mission, stating that they maintained minimal casualties and maximum effectiveness.[3]
Following Grievous' attack on a medical convoy in the Ryndellia system, Broadside, along with the rest of Shadow Squadron, Skywalker, and Koon took the Balmorra Run in order to reach the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center before the Malevolence.[3]
Some time later in the Clone Wars, Broadside and Shadow Squadron flew with Skywalker once again, this time to defend against Grievous' fleet in an attack on the clone homeworld of Kamino.[6]
Personality and traits
Broadside was a brave clone pilot who was close with fellow Shadow Squadron pilot Matchstick.[3]
