Brikal

The brikal was a blue-shelled arthropod found on the planet Dalna, which was used by the Path of the Open Hand to make the blue paint that members wore on their faces. The paint was created by crushing the shells and mixing them with chalk and a sweet-smelling binding agent. Eating the larvae of the arthropod could turn other animals, such as honey gliders, the same bright blue color.^[1]
