Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A species of insectivorous animals with long, muscular tongues and flexible snouts eventually evolved into the sentient Bravaisian species. They were pack hunters that used their sturdy snouts to dig through the dirt and sand in search of tubers and nests of insects.[1]
