The Botrut were one of three prominent tribes of the Ugnaught species from the planet Gentes. The other two known tribes were the Isced and the Irden. Ecclessis Figg brought many Botrut Ugnaughts to his tibanna-mining facilities in Cloud City on the nearby planet Bespin.
