Boring IV was a planet that occupied the fourth orbital position in its system.[1]

At some point after 0 BBY,[2] the Rebel Alliance installed an advanced post at the planet. One group of Rebels participated in the installation and, due to their success, were entrusted with another mission to look into the death of Arkiin Smir, a rebel extremist and the leader of the Luminous Knives terrorist group, in order to learn the whereabouts of his accomplices.[1]

Behind the scenes

Boring IV was mentioned in the roleplaying adventure "Les Couteaux lumineux" written by Michael Moret for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The adventure was published in the seventieth issue of the French Casus Belli magazine, released through July and August of 1992.[1] As the adventure was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process, it is considered non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
