The Booster BX was a custom light freighter owned by the Broken Horn Syndicate that served as a raiding vessel during the Age of the Empire.[1]
Characteristics
The Booster BX was a custom light freighter manufactured by Beysh Custom Craft. It was considered to be a fast starship, and was equipped with a class 2 and a class 14 hyperdrive, had a sophisticated computer array, a short sensor range, specialized slicing systems, magnetized hull platings, and a navigation computer. It was armed with a turret-mounted twin light laser cannon, a turret-mounted twin light ion cannon, and a light tractor beam turret. It had consumables that could last one month and was crewed by a pilot, a copilot, three gunners, and an engineer, with enough room for two passengers. It cost 225,000 credits. Due to its sophisticated systems, the Booster BX was difficult to operate.[1]
Role
The Booster BX was used as a raiding vessel due to its abilities and equipment, as well as slash and grab operations on weapons depots.[1]
History
During the time the Broken Horn Syndicate was active on the planet Lothal, crime lord Cikatro Vizago acquired the Booster BX. The Booster BX was based out of a camp on Lothal, and served the syndicate by attacking smuggling ships and then selling the collected data to the Galactic Empire. At one point, the Spectres sought to use the Booster BX to capture an Imperial messenger droid in Lothal's orbit.[1]
