A Boonta Eve Classic podrace in Tatooine's Mos Espa podrace circuit occurred on Boonta Eve[1] in 32 BBY.[2] The young human Anakin Skywalker won the podrace with his Jedi-like reflexes, becoming the first human to win the Boonta Eve Classic. As a result of a bet between Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and the Toydarian Junk dealer Watto, Skywalker was freed from Slavery upon his victory in the race.[1]
