When Gideon Hask was ten years old, a rebel infiltrator instigated a bombing at the planet Kuat's shipyards. The parents of Hask were killed during the blast, leaving him orphaned.[2]

  1. ↑ Battlefront II: Inferno Squad establishes that Gideon Hask was orphaned at age of ten by the bombing at the Kuat shipyards. The novel also establishes Gideon Hask is twenty-seven years old. As this is mentioned three days after the Battle of Yavin, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 0 ABY, it places Hask's birth around 27 BBY. Therefore, the bombing must have occurred around 17 BBY.
