Bola carbine was an individually handcrafted, unique energy weapon that ensnared and tripped up targets. Bounty hunters often fielded a bola carbine as their primary weapon to both take out hostiles and capture targets.[1]
Description
The bola carbine featured wooden furniture, often adorned in custom etchings, making it an excellent addition to any enthusiast's collection. Instead of using standard blaster energy, the bola carbine mixed in a series of hard energy particles that produce a small energy net as a by-product of a weaker blaster bolt. While the energy net usually faded after a few seconds, specific atmospheric conditions have been known to extend its duration. The specific blaster gas and hard particles often gave the energy a purple hue.[1]
Behind the scenes
Bola carbine was first mentioned in Star Wars canon in Gadgets and Gear, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
