Bok Askol was a Pacithhip[1] factotum[3] and Podracer mechanic[4] who was a visitor[1] of the city Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine.[5] At birth, the gene configuration of a Pacithhip usually indicated that they were to become either a farmer, an intellectual, or a warrior, but Askol's destiny eluded classification[1] and became a mystery for many years.[2]
Behind the scenes

Bok Aksol first appeared in the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace,[6] released on May 19, 1999.[7] A Pacithhip wearing a yellow shirt identified as a prospector in 2000,[8] through the Battle of Naboo set of the Young Jedi Collectible Card Game, was identified as Bok Aksol[6] in 2001,[9] with the release of the Theed Palace Limited set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[2]
In the "Rogues Gallery" section of Star Wars Insider 131, written by Leland Chee[3] and released in 2012,[10] a Pacithhip wearing a green jumpsuit identified as a mechanic in the Star Wars: Episode I: The Visual Dictionary, written by David West Reynolds and released in May 1999,[11] is identified as Aksol.[3] This article assumes the Rogues Gallery identification to be correct as it is the most recent source.
