Bogg Tyrell, Seboca, and Obi-Wan Kenobi all exclaim as they nearly collide[3]
Bogg Tyrell was an Aleena female and the representative of her homeworld of Aleen in the Galactic Senate of the Republic.
Biography
Bogg and Seboca during the chase between Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Zam Wesell
The Aleena female Bogg Tyrell represented her homeworld,[1] the Mid Rim[4] planet[2] Aleen, in the Galactic Senate.[1] She was occasionally mistaken for the Aleena Podracer Ratts Tyerell.[2]
Bogg was known to enjoy wealth and the high life during her time on Coruscant. She even dated Dug holostar Seboca; the two were joyriding in an airspeeder in 22 BBY when they were almost hit by Obi-Wan Kenobi dangling from ASN-121, after the failed attempt to assassinate Senator Amidala. Afterwards, Bogg went to get a drink at Dex's Diner, coincidentally leaving the café—apparently inebriated—shortly after Obi-Wan entered the establishment looking for information on the weapon that had killed Zam Wesell.
Personality and traits
Tyrell bared a passing resemblance to Ratts Tyerell, causing her to be often mistaken for him. She was upset that she, a senator, was mistaken for someone she considered a mere Podracer. Tyrell also took issue with the fact that Tyerell was male, and she was female. The Aleena had blue eyes, tan and blue skin,[2] and numbed taste buds.[5]
Behind the scenes
Bogg Tyerell first appeared in the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones,[3] which was released on May 16, 2002.[6] The computer-generated model of Ratts Tyerell that had appeared in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace was reused and modified to create the character.[7] Prior to the film's release, she was first pictured in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones: The Visual Dictionary, authored by David West Reynolds[5] and released on April 23, 2002.[8] The character was first identified in an Episode II Depth Commentary available on StarWars.com that could be accessed through the DVD-ROM home release of Attack of the Clones[9] on November 12, 2002.[10] Unused text from the Attack of the Clones Scrapbook was going to establish her as having no relation to Ratts Tyerell's unnamed wife.[11]
