Blue Two was the call sign of the second member of Blue Squadron. There were a number of starfighter squadrons with this name, and several pilots went by the call sign Blue Two.
History
The clone trooper pilot Axe flew under the call sign Blue Two, piloting a V-19 Torrent starfighter for the Galactic Republic's Blue Squadron during the Clone Wars, before his death at the Battle of Ryloth.[1]
Blue Two was the call sign of Rebel Alliance pilot Ru Murleen when she flew with Blue Squadron in the Battle of Yavin.[2]
Ace Azzameen flew an A-wing interceptor under the call sign Blue Two while performing recon on Corrupter Task Force, escorting transferred flight staff between the Mon Calamari cruisers Defiance and Liberty, and investigating intelligence provided by Imperial defector Commander Zaletta of a convoy tied to a vast Imperial construction project. He returned to the call sign during the Battle of Kothlis, flying an X-wing starfighter to cover the evacuation of Kothlis II.[3]
Behind the scenes
Blue Two is the call sign given to Wedge Antilles in the novelization and comic adaptation of A New Hope, but he is identified as Red Two in the final film.[4][5][6]
