Blitzball was a water sport played by younglings on the planet Langston.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Initiate Mill Alibeth went on a mission to Langston's mining district. There, they witnessed a group of younglings playing the game in a lake while walking through the rubble.[1]

Blitzball appeared in the 2022 novel Brotherhood, authored by Mike Chen.[1] The game was included as a reference to Blitzball, a minigame from[3] the role-playing video game[4] Final Fantasy X. According to Chen, Blitzball is basically "underwater hockey played as a minigame in Final Fantasy X." Chen included the game due to his past work as a writer for the National Hockey League.[3]
