The Blitz on Kormoran occurred during the first years of the Galactic Civil War. During the strike, TIE Fighters were ordered to attack refugees on the terrestrial object Kormoran, resulting in the deaths of 90,000 people. After the attack, it was rumored that a participating male TIE pilot defected to the Alliance to Restore the Republic and would later become an X-wing pilot.[1]
