Blistmok were a type of reptilian predator found on the volcanic Outer Rim planet Mustafar. They hunted in packs and were tireless, running down prey for days before attacking.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, blistmok were mentioned in "Wildlife of Mustafar,"[1] an article written by Mark Newbold[2] and published in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the thirty-third issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] which was released around August 19, 2015.[3]
Blistmok originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in "Galactic Biological Survey Project – Mustafar," an article posted on the website for the massively multiplayer online role-playing games Star Wars Galaxies on September 14, 2005 as part of the pre-release material for the game's Trials of Obi-Wan expansion.[4] The creatures then appeared for the first time in the expansion itself[5] when it was released on November 1, 2005.[6]
