Blaster power packs[1] or energy packs[2] were energy storage devices which supplied power to a blaster. During their funerals, fallen members of the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry had power packs drained in their honor.[1] During the Battle of Hoth[2] in 3 ABY,[3] Private Emon Kref used an A295 blaster rifle with a blaster power pack which had a tendency to fall out, a problem Kref attempted to solve with tape.[2]
Behind the scenes
Blaster power packs first appeared in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[1] They were later identified as energy packs in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story novelization written by Alexander Freed.[4]
