The Black Line was a subgrav train line that connected the Verity District with the neighboring Federal District on[1] the Core Worlds[2] planet Coruscant.[1] In 5 ABY,[3] the de facto leader of the Galactic Empire, Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, covertly visited Coruscant to research Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax, her mysterious superior. After exiting the Verity District's Hall of Imperial Register, the admiral noted a lack of power in the district and decided to vacate. After initially considering using the Black Line to travel to the Federal District, Sloane then realized that any power loss would have likely disrupted the line too.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Black Line was mentioned in the 2016 novel Aftermath: Life Debt, the second installment of Chuck Wendig's Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
