The Black Hole was a cantina in Doom City on Coruscant.[1]

Considered the best of the district's many food-and-drink establishments, it was popular with smugglers, mercenaries and bounty hunters, including Boba Fett.[1]

The cantina offered its clientel a discreet meeting-place for discussions, but the security was much heavier than other comparable establishments such as the notorious Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine, and its bar prices were at least three times higher than normal.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Black Hole and Doom City appear in Il faut sauver Miss Pickalho, a French-language scenario for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which appeared in Casus Belli magazine in March 1999. As this material was not approved through the Lucas Licensing process, it is considered non-canon..

In French, the cantina is called the Trou Noir, a term which has the same double meaning as in English, referring to both a dark pit and the astrophysical phenomenon.[1]
