Betelgeuse 23 is mentioned in Il faut sauver Miss Pickalho, a French-language scenario for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which appeared in Casus Belli magazine in March 1999. As this material was not approved through the Lucas Licensing process, it is considered non-canon.

In contrast with the Black Hole, Betelgeuse 23 is not directly described as a cantina.
