Baze's repeating cannon was an MWC-35c "Staccato Lightning" repeating cannon used by the freelance assassin and Rebel soldier Baze Malbus. It weighed 30 kilograms and was scarlet and silver in color. The weapon contained the firepower of five laser rifles in one and could hold up to 35,000 blaster shots. Its ability to fire both quickly and accurately led to the name "Staccato Lightning."[1]

Behind the scenes

In the 2017 Guardians of the Whills novel, Denic tells Malbus that the cannon can fire 40,000 rounds before needing a reload.[3] The 2021 manga adaptation Guardians of the Whills: The Manga changed the line to state 35,000 rounds,[4] matching the information provided in Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide.[1]
