Bay 5 was a hangar within the Galactic Empire's Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Sovereign. It housed multiple TIE fighters, as well as the Grand Inquisitor's TIE Advanced.[2] In 4 BBY,[1] the Spectres rebel cell landed their TIE fighter in the bay and detonated an electromagnetic pulse, which disabled the Sovereign. Following subsequent damage to its power core, the Star Destroyer was destroyed.[2]

Bay 5 first appeared in "Fire Across the Galaxy,"[2] the fifteenth and final episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Rebels. The episode first aired on March 2, 2015.[3]
