The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

During the Galactic Civil War, a battle occurred on the planet Vaenrood,[1] located in the system of the same name in the Pakuuni sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[3] Several months before the New Republic removed Moff Kentor Sarne from power on the planet Kal'Shebbol, Republic forces engaged the Galactic Empire on Vaenrood. During the engagement, New Republic ground forces prosecuted an action against Imperial units in mountainous terrain, supported by X-wing starfighters flying air support. During the engagement, one of the X-wings—piloted by Darryn Thyte—had its wing clipped by Imperial artillery fire. The resulting crash buckled and snapped the canopy, which in turn sheared off most of Thyte's right arm above the elbow.[1]

The Battle of Vaenrood was mentioned in the short story "The Saga Begins" and in Darryn Thyte's biography in The DarkStryder Campaign, a book published by West End Games in 1995.[1]
