- "This, from the days when the Separatists brought the war to the Outer Rim in the later years of the Clone Wars."
- ―Norra Wexley
During the later years of the Clone Wars, a battle took place on the Outer Rim planet Akiva[2] that saw Galactic Republic forces attack a Separatist droid factory. During the Galactic Civil War, Kay Vess' crew passed through the ruins of the battle, with BX-series droid commando ND-5 falling back into old programming and thinking he was part of the battle as he passed through the factory and the remains of B1-series battle droids.[1] Norra Wexley's team later passed through the ruined factory during the rebellion on Akiva. Wexley recalled the factory as a site made during the late Clone Wars,[2] but it had actually been in operation since at least 22 BBY[3] before the Republic shut it down[1] late in the war.[2]

- ↑ "CIS Transmission 04" in Star Wars Outlaws establishes that the Akiva production plant was in operation while the BX-series droid commando was still undergoing preliminary tests. As the BX was introduced to the frontlines around the events of "Rookies," which is set in 22 BBY according to Star Wars: Timelines, the Akivan factory must have been in operation by 22 BBY.
