During the era of the New Republic a battle took place between Rapier Squadron and a pirate group in the Mirrin sector. Rapier Squadron was lead by Commander Poe Dameron. The squadron took out many of the pirate starfighters but Dameron and his droid BB-8 were captured by the pirates. While Dameron was being interrogated, BB-8 alerted the rest of Rapier Squadron who came to their rescue.^[2]

Because the battle takes place in "Kidnapped!" Poe already knows BB-8, but he hasn't joined the Resistance yet, it must take place between these two years.
