This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

Admiral Basil Kiucee[2] was a brusque Mon Calamari who served as the commander of the princess-turned-rebel Crane.[1]

When the Galactic Empire landed on the ice planet Joetz, the location of a hidden Rebel base, Kiucee directed Crane on a scouting mission which they directly monitored, advising her to slow down her speeder and stop her music to keep a low profile while criticizing the age of her personal astromech Tor-Tu. They advised against investigated a destroyed village while ordering the base’s evacuation. After the battle, Kiucee congratulated Crane on successfully destroying an Imperial coaxium mining rig, though lamented the loss of the base.[2]

Behind the scenes

Basil Kiucee appeared in a hologram in "The Song of Four Wings", a non-canon short film directed by Hiroyasu Kobayashi released as part of the third volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Project Studio Q, released on Disney+ on October 29, 2025.[1] They were first mentioned in a Japanese StarWars.com article released on September 26, 2025, which spelled their name as キュシー・バシル (Kyushii Bashiru).[3] The English spelling of Kiucee was confirmed in a production brief released on October 23 of that year,[1] and the spelling of their full name was confirmed in the episode's credits. They were voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto in the original Japanese and by Trevor Devall in the English dub.[2]
